The piece
One stone, a fine band, and an open setting that lets light in from every side.
A solitaire is a test of proportion rather than of quantity. The stone is raised on fine claws with nothing behind it, so light enters through the pavilion as well as the table - the reason a well-set solitaire looks brighter than a heavier ring with more stones in it. The band stays deliberately fine so the eye goes to the stone and not to the metal.
Wear it alone. It is the one piece here that a second ring makes smaller.
