The piece
A sui dhaga - a threader earring - finished with a marquise stone that rests on the front of the lobe.
A threader has no back to fasten. Its fine chain passes through the piercing and hangs behind the ear, ending in a slim bar that keeps the line straight. At the front, a short bar carries the stone in small prongs. The marquise is pointed at both ends, which makes it the most linear of the three petite sui dhaga cuts: it leads the eye down towards the chain.
Wear it with hair up, so the chain shows behind the ear.
