The piece
A sui dhaga - a threader earring - finished with a pear-cut stone at the front of the lobe.
The chain passes through the piercing and falls behind the ear with nothing to fasten, ending in a slim bar that keeps its line straight. At the front, a short bar carries the stone in three prongs, one at its point and two at its rounded end. The pear sits between the other two cuts in the petite set, with the marquise's point at one end and the round stone's softness at the other.
An easy first threader, and at home beside a Classic stud in a second piercing.
