The piece
A floral pendant with layered petals, stone-set at the centre of each.
The petals are cut and layered rather than stamped flat, so the piece catches light at several angles at once instead of reflecting it all in one plane. Each stone is prong-set at a petal's centre. It is the most decorative shape we make, and the one that carries best against plain fabric where the outline can be read.
Give it a plain neckline. A busy print takes the shape away from it.
