The piece
A single round stone in each ear, raised on claws.
The open claw setting holds each stone at its edge and leaves almost all of it exposed, so light reaches it from the sides as well as from above. A round outline has no direction, so the stud looks the same however the ear is turned. It is the lighter of the two men's claw-set studs, and a push lock closes it.
Wear one or both. A single stud reads as a choice rather than as something missing.
