The piece
A small, thick half-hoop whose outer face is cut into facets, with stones set flush among them.
Facetta is the collection built on cut planes, and here the facets run in a repeating lattice around the curve, so the hoop flashes as the head turns rather than shining along one line. The stones are flush-set: sunk into the metal with their tops level with the surface, and no prongs standing up to catch hair or a scarf. A post and push lock fasten it at the top, and the hoop curves down around the front of the lobe.
